if your not casting the old line out then i dont understand how it is giving u better casting capability, i dunno, ive never done this and ive always been able to cast far. Seems to me the more crap line u have the better chance of getting a backlash, less line = less chance of insane birds nesting.

me and derrick discussed it and we are going to have a casting test using both methods of reel lining, will let u all know the results when we get them

D'Chil, already use the uni-knot for braid. Instructions for that came with my old braid line type. Than tho. Plus, I have the knot wars app.

I use the same polymer knot for all my line and braid and have never had my line brake at the hook that I know of. I have gotten tangled up and had to brake the line and not once has it broke at the hook.

Uni-knot to tie 2 lines together. Mainly crap line to braid for backing. Just don't want to tie 50 yards x 3 on one reel. Don't think knots will hold.

We should have a casting contest.

Set up targets at different distances and point system. We could all put in like $10.00 winner takes all..
