I know under 1/4 oz to use spinning mono floats so it might slow rate of fall. But is that enough or right or does it matter?

Another question was, what is best way to use a shakey head? Caught a slot at Harris by dragging and VERY slight pops while suspended. Is this right or just depends on what they want? Same goes for Texas rig. Drag or something else? Carolina rig I got. That's MY go to rig.
