Got the battery. There goes $110. Didn't have 6 gauge cables on hand at this store but had 4 gauge out the ying yang. Does it matter on gauge? I know how the numbers work. Big #, small wire. Small #, big wire.

What D'Chill said.  I told you 6 gauge because they'd be cheaper and I know you don't have bigger going to your TM.  In all reality, for a 2' length carrying 12v, 10 gauge will work, but in a marine environment we always want more than just "that will work".  We want overkill wherever possible. 4 gauge is way better.
I will also make sure you have a fuse in line somewhere so that will go before your TM

that charger will work for two 12v wired in series too.  Basic electrical theory

I dont wanna Frack anything up tbh.  I was told this by numerous people .. and maybe this is for my set up.  Here it is.  I have 4 batteries.  2 wired in at normal 12 volt.  1 for electronics.  1 for cranking.  2 are jumped for 24 volt only for TM straight 24.  Not 12/24 like i used to have.  It is straight 24.  I have a 4 bank charger on the boat.  All batteries are hooked up to it.  I believe they told me so it wouldn't fry the 4 bank,.. i d k.  Ill call and ask tomorrow why it was stated for me to just unplug it while i charge them.

Thanks for clarification.  I dont need a 110 dollar bill lol

A 4 bank charger will charge all 12V batteries including the two hooked up for 24V. You have 2 pos and Neg wires  coming out of the charger for 4 batteries, hook them up normally to each of the four batteries. For charging purposes ignore the jumper cable. Like Mike said it's basic DC electric theory.

I at first figured it would be.  Like I said, it was told to me by a few people including Pitstop.. they may not of understood what I was saying also.. I did have a lot of issues with the wiring of my TM.  Thanks for this.

New battery wouldn't charge connected. Had to disconnect it from other battery to get charged. No biggie. Might be because I only have a 2 bank charger and not a 3. Working too hard trying to charge 2 batteries maybe. Don't know and don't care. I know it works like it should.

It'll charge it...just takes a very long time with those battery maintainers.  Might be better just to use that other charger you have or like you said, disconnect a jumper.
My pleasure to help you out.  I can also help with preventative MX stuff on the motor if needed

Just had a look at neighbors batteries. 2 bank charger hooked to t/m and separate charger for cranking. Thinking that might be the ticket. Don't want to keep disconnecting jumper all the time. What ya think? His is a 24 volt. Mine is 12.

OH, oh oh ok I see what you were saying about the charger hooked up on the first post.  Yeah doing it with two chargers or disconnecting are your two options.
See my post about not being able to fish this weekend?

I keep my jumper on top.  I am still worried and scared to plug it in with it connected.  So  I just take off one lead to charge.  Takes me all of 30 seconds this way.  Better safe than sorry i guess!
