Electronics for a canoe...
« on: January 27, 2015, 01:05:00 am »
I know the majority of you fish from a typical bass rig but I am curious to know who runs a kayak or canoe and if you run electronics on it, what make/model you have. I have a solo canoe (Old Town Guide 119) that I would like to rig up for fishing when I am not chasing ducks in it. I have looked at the clamp on deals from Walmart but would not mind investing in something a bit more advanced if its worth it. Any advice you could share would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Will

I've seen some on the kayak bass fishing show. I think ram mounts make some just for canoes and kayaks. Good prices there. Mount i want is only $25. Not including shipping of course.

I have a buddy who built a through hull on his kayak.  Cut it out and mounted it in the bottom and then coated it all around to make sure it still floated lol.  I will see if i can get some pics
