If you get one, be careful about the attachment. I have a sander that is also a buffer with hard plastic base. If you aren't careful you can do damage. Especially on fiberglass.

what is considered the pad?? the whole bottom of the boat??? i read in an iconelli blog something about some kind of coating you can get to put on the bottom to make it cut through the water faster, but u have to lift the boat off the trailer to apply it

Isn't your boat fiberglass? If so, get a couple of bath towels, fold them to make a pad, and use a jack. Lift the front, wax what you can, lift a side or whatever, do it and so on till you finish it. If I remember right, carnuba wax is what a lot of surfers use but will have to check on that.

Anything spray and is always a good thing. Not as much work.

Yea haha, I was thinking that it was the back, which I didn't wax so I'm good I guess, but thanks for the tip about pre coating the nite before, I will definitely do that

My uncle does his 22 foot center console ocean boat by hand every year. It sucks and is a pain in the ass but it looks great when done.
