Yeah I Deer hunt but on public game lands. I also Quail and Pheasant hunt. If anyone wants to go Bird hunting I have a German Shorthaired Pointer and he is good. And really fun to hunt with. So if anybody is interested in bird hunting I can supply the dog. Just to note if you happen to shoot my dog expect the same treatment in return.

Me...I'll go, ducks and birds, really into it but havent gone in a bit, my lab passed away last year. Huge Dove hunter really a lot of fun. I've got lots of duck  decoys and and can call pretty well. I had a 16ft camo jon boat but sold it last year. My Ranger sticks out like a sore thumb so that aint gonna work.

My in-laws own a huge chunk of "big swamp" in Bladen at Robison Co.  Ok for duck as far as that part of the state, not bad for deer but a little tougher unless you've got a 16' or less jon boat...sneak boat, one of those.  You can google earth that swamp, it flows into the lumber river.  Turkey is ok and of course any field on their land is good for rabbit and dove.

Yes, I hunt

Better go to Alabama if you want to fill your freezer  ;D

Around my house I have been to the Peidmont game lands that surround the southern half of Jordan.  I saw several deer, got a bead on one right before he jumped into the brushline and vanished.  That was one day after a few days of good frosty weather.
That is a good spot around here because it isn't over hunted and there is plenty of watering spots for the deer...lots of decent high ground for us

Dove season opens Monday September 2nd, anybody into that? Obviously private lands would be better especially on opening day...public lands can get crazy

I would be in to go. Don't think my dog would be any good for dove hunting. But I would still like to go. If you all feel like going quail hunting then I could bring him. Either way I like killing birds.
