I meet James and Jake at Tillery with a friend of mine. We went down by the dam where the water falls into the lake and the bass were schooling pretty good till about 10 am Water temp was 74 cloudy. We ended up with 3 in the boat there on Smoking Shad fluke, crank , and a sexy swimmer and 4 we just could not get to the boat. We decided to go to the other Dam and the water was pretty clear and 89 and zeroed out there. around 11am we found a creek and started fishing TX rig worm. We had a few hits but nothing solid, I seen some down Pines and threw to the edge of one and right away and monster smacked my lure and as I reel it came to the top and before I could say get the net it dove down hard and snapped my line like it was nothing. I do have to say it mad me sick only because it was the biggest Bass I have ever seen in person. Water temp there was 89 clear 7 foot deep.
Not sure how I feel about Tillery yet. I don't think I will brake my neck to go back anytime soon just because it is 2:20 min drive one way.
I was at the ramp by 12:45 pm and there was a tournament that just ended and there were some nice bass caught and weighed in. There are fish there but it will take some TOW to learn to fish this lake.
