Hey guys,

This is my first GPS ever with maps. I just installed it and confused about what I should be seeing as far as the Navionics goes. I seemed to have downloaded the maps on my chip from the web site. My understanding is that you cant see the lake maps until your on the lake but not for sure.

When I put the chip in it says its loading but when on the lake I dont see it. Should I be able to see the maps when the boat is in the driveway. I have the unit set up to auto select maps and then tried to read just from the chip.

Cant seem to figure this out, it cant be that hard but im struggling a bit. Something is wrong or im not doing something right. LOL

Anyone have Navionics or hummingbird?
