Don't put off Maintence

My Boat has been running fine other then sometimes the idle would not drop all the way back to normal idle and I would just hit the hot foot and then it would come back down. I started off first by cleaning the carb. then to checking the linkage and lubing. Then to the Hot Foot and boy I am so lucky I checked it cause the Hot Foot bolts were about to fall off. I got it all back adjusted right and then got my Mercury book out and noticed I need to do a few more Maintenance Items. As I was going threw all the checks in order I found a few more bolts and nuts that were loose and they were the ones that held the motor to the jack plate.

Just wanted to remind everyone cause I got so caught up into everything else I forgot....

Its a good point. I'm doing plugs, lower unit oil, and impeller every two years. I'm wanting to decarbonize soon but have heard a few different theories on it. A) Mercury Quick Clean fuel additive is all I need and B) actual spray injection in the engine to get the gunk out.

Not going to lie, i'm going to do the mercury quick clean for a while.

Well I run real gas in my eng. Not this mixed ethanol crap and I see a performance differents. You should try it and see if you can tell the differents as well. I am going to do the bottle treatment for the fuel as well.

Don't forget tow vehicle. If anyone remembers, my truck took little too long to crank. Just had to replace battery today. Went to start this morning and only got that clicking noise. There went $100. Just saying, don't forget that part too.
