boat issue
« on: June 19, 2013, 07:30:51 pm »
I got a call from pit stop marine yesterday confirming one of the pistons is blown. It is going to take 1800-2000 to fix so I will be selling the boat and moving to the co angler side for the rest of the season.

That really sucks. Don't think you have problem getting a ride tho. If I don't have non-boater with me, you are always welcome to ride.

Any one have a 13 inch 5 five lug spare I can borrow? Started boat today just to circulate and just happen to notice starboard side tire was all chewed up. Even a used cheap tire would OK for now. After looking at tire, it scared me. Or an idea to get used one cheap around my area. Bragg & Skibo road.

Chad it is not that hard to fix and we can do it. The major cost for them to fix it is labor. If you want to put the little extra cash in it and fix it, you will get all that money you put in it and some. If I can rebuild atv and truck motors I am sire we can rebuild a boat motor

Did you get a quote for the parts? Your really going to take a beating if the motor does not run. I'm sure between club members and google the total repair cost could be decreased a bunch

Got $100 tire and rim at northern tool today. I'm good for now. Don't have clue why tire looks like it does. Y'all need to see it. Weird!

Brand is Load Star. Just some off name brand for temporary use. Will get new rubber in place of old ones and keep this one for a spare.

Went to check things on boat today just getting ready for Harris tomorrow and noticed other old tire starting to wear like the other did. Not bad right now. Told wife about it and I'm hopefully getting new rubber before next tourney.
